Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is located in the world-famous tourist city of Penang. Established in 1969, it is a comprehensive research-oriented public university and the third oldest prestigious university in Malaysia. USM has over 30,000 undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students enrolled. The university currently operates three campuses, has 26 faculties, and 17 research centers. In the 2025 QS World University Rankings, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is ranked 146th, ahead of Tongji University (ranked 192nd). Only seven universities in mainland China are ranked higher than USM.

三、申请条件Entry Requirements
1.本升硕学生需持有学士学位证，硕升博学生需持有硕士学位证
Applicants for master’s programs must hold a bachelor’s degree; applicants for doctoral programs must hold a master’s degree.
2. 雅思不低于5分，具体要求需依据申请专业和申请级别而定
IELTS score should be no less than 5.0; specific requirements depend on the chosen program and level of study.
3. 绩点不少于3.0/4.0
GPA should be at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
